Podcast transcription app: any episode as searchable text

AnyScribe turns any public podcast episode into a timestamped transcript with an AI summary. Share the episode from Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pocket Casts, Castbox or Overcast, or paste the link, and the app transcribes the audio itself in 50+ languages. Podcast players show transcripts only for some shows; AnyScribe works on every episode you can link to, with 30 free minutes and non-expiring credits after that.

Step by step

Transcribe a podcast episode in three taps

  1. 1

    Share the episode

In your podcast app, open the episode, tap Share, and choose AnyScribe. You can also copy the link and paste it into the app or on this page.

  2. 2

Let the app fetch the audio

AnyScribe downloads the public episode audio, transcribes it with timestamps, and detects the language automatically.

  3. 3

Read the summary, then the transcript

An AI summary tells you the key points in a minute. Search the full text, copy quotes with timestamps, or share it as a web page.

  • Downloaded episode files imported from the Files app

  • YouTube and SoundCloud uploads of podcast episodes

Good to know

  • Subscriber-only and DRM-protected episodes, such as Spotify exclusives, cannot be fetched

  • Speakers are not labeled yet; the transcript is a single timestamped flow

  • A one-hour episode uses one hour of credit after the free 30 minutes

  • iPhone and iPad only; the website can start a transcription and hand it to the app

FAQ

Common questions

Does it work with Spotify podcasts?
Yes for public episodes. Share the episode from Spotify to AnyScribe or paste the open.spotify.com link. Spotify exclusives and subscriber-only shows are protected and cannot be fetched.
Can I transcribe a whole podcast series?
You transcribe one episode at a time. Each transcript is saved in your library with full-text search, so a series builds up into a searchable archive.
How long does a one-hour episode take?
Usually a few minutes. The app downloads the audio, transcribes it in the cloud and writes the summary, and you can keep using your phone meanwhile.
Are transcripts stored on your servers?
No. Transcripts live on your device and in your iCloud. Audio is processed by the transcription provider and not kept after the transcript is returned.
